Lourdes South

When we embarked on the mission of becoming a Catholic Classical School in 2012 we were hopeful that through our mission we could attract enough families to keep our doors open for those seeking this sort of education.  Now, 6 years later, we find ourselves full of exceptional families and unable to accept the many parishioners and other families who are seeking admittance to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Classical School.  It is in response to this demand we are excited to announce that in Fall 2018 Our Lady of Lourdes will open a South Campus for Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.  The South Campus will be located at St. Louis Parish in their school building that had been vacant for 2 years.  We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with St. Louis parish to lease the space for the South Campus.

Opening Our Lady of Lourdes South will provide us with the opportunity to serve more families, and even allow many siblings who are currently on the waitlist the opportunity to enroll at Our Lady of Lourdes.  We continue to be blessed with families who have younger siblings and we want to be sure that every family who desires the Catholic Classical Education that Our Lady of Lourdes offers has the opportunity to attend.  This is a big undertaking and we are so grateful for the commitment and dedication of our faculty, staff, and benefactors in helping Our Lady of Lourdes grow.  Below are some FAQs and Fast Facts for you to share.  We are sure there are many more questions and details that will be answered as we unroll the South Campus.  Please let us know if you have questions beyond these and we will continue keep you updated as the year goes on.

Applications are now open!

South Campus FAQs

What grades will be at the South Campus?

Beginning Fall 2018 there will be Kindergarten-2nd grade at the South Campus with a grade being added each year following.

Is the South Campus a different school?

No.  Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Classical School will have two campuses – North and South.  There will continue to be one pastor, Fr. Brian Larkin, and one principal, Rosemary Vander Weele.  The curriculum will be the same on both campuses as well as fundraising, community events, etc.

Note:  Our pre-school is a program separate from our K-8 Classical School.  Whether or not your child attends our pre-school at the north campus does not impact your chances of acceptance or placement on a particular campus (North or South) in kindergarten.

Will the students attend Mass during the week?

Yes, students at the South Campus will follow the same Mass schedule as students at the North Campus.  Kindergarten-2nd grade will attend Mass twice a week.

Will there be bus service to the South Campus?

Yes, the school bus that currently runs from St. Francis Cabrini to Our Lady of Lourdes North Campus will make a stop on the South Campus for morning drop off and pick up.

Will there be Latin, Art, Music and P.E.?

Yes, students at both North and South Campus will have the same amount of time with the Latin, Art, Music and P.E. with the same teachers.

Why isn’t there a K-5th campus and a 6th-8th campus?

In terms of space and campus size, both the North and South campuses are better built to have single track classrooms.

As we begin enrollment for the upcoming year we will be addressing the many questions that come up and we are grateful for all of your continued support and prayers as we carry out our mission as a Catholic Classical School.  Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us!
