Meet our new Montessori pre-school teacher!

Miss Patricia Metzger

Miss Patricia Metzger

I was raised on a family farm in the corn fields of Illinois with beef cattle and other crops. After High School, I attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska for one year, then transferred and completed my degree in Philosophy in 2005 from Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia. In college, I spent a semester studying abroad in Rome in 2004 during the time of Pope Saint John Paul II and during that semester met the daughter of Saint Gianna. After college, I spend 7 years as a missionary with FOCUS (The Fellowship of Catholic University Students), serving at George Mason University, Auburn University, the Midwest Region, and at the National Office. Recently, I spent two years discerning a religious vocation with the Nashville Dominicans, and while I am grateful for the time that I spent there, I discovered that God’s will lies elsewhere. This past summer, I received training for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, level one (ages 3-6) from Aquinas College, and Montessori training for Early Childhood (ages 3-6) from the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies (MECR). I am delighted to be the Pre-K Montessori teacher at Lourdes and consider it a great blessing to be a part of this amazing Parish and School. We would love for you to visit and to come and see the good things happening at Lourdes!
